Learning Task & Assignment #3 My Understanding of Backward Design

By being prepared you know where  you want to end up says Grant Wiggins.  Critical creative thinking desired results.  Grant Wiggins says,"The text book is not the course it's a resource"  Backwards to me means when you begin with the end and start with what goal you want, you know your destination. By design I'm understanding to plan/execute. Wiggins shows that you should prioritize when using  a text book such as, skimming, highlighting  and skipping. The teacher is the artist/designer and it's up to us to know how we are going to teach to the frame work of the standard.

    I like what you said.it is really the 'destination'. you must know where you are heading prior to starting the journey.

    I agree with what you quoted form Wiggins, that the textbook is not the course, but is to serve as a resouce for the lesson. I really your philosophy that teachers are the artist/designer.
